Street Kings Movie Review and Movie Trailer

Street Kings movie review...By now you've probably seen the Street Kings trailer enough times to rap right along to its urban poetry soundtrack. But today we’ve got a new trailer, and it’s kind of R-Rated ! Street Kings is directed by the same guy who brought us Harsh Times a few years ago, a movie that I personally didn't like that much. I hope it's not as bad as that movie, but maybe Keanu Reeves and a different script will help. Even if this film pulls off the equivalent of what Ethan Hawke did in Training Day, this movie will probably not get the notice of the Academy.

The trailer does look impressive and this has potential to be really good movie in my view. The trailer is certainly fast-paced, stopping only occasionally to let Reeves or a member of the (impressive) supporting cast, which includes Hugh Laurie and Forrest Whitaker and Chris Evans, get in a brief line of exposition or mildly amusing quip. The spot is obviously meant to appeal on some level to the gangster type of crowd and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a soundtrack with some cool hip hop music when this movie hits the streets. If you haven't seen the trailer yet, check it out and you be the judge!!! Starts April 11th...
